ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

This statement reflects our ongoing efforts to make Pedersen Bicycle Services' website accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive online environment and are continually working to improve the user experience for everyone.

What web accessibility is

Web accessibility ensures that all users, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the web. It involves making the website's content and functionality available to everyone, including those using assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have implemented accessibility enhancements on our website in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) [2.0 / 2.1 / 2.2 - select relevant option] to ensure a seamless experience for all users. Our efforts include optimizing the site for assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard navigation, and addressing various aspects of accessibility.

Our accessibility initiatives have involved using the Accessibility Wizard to identify and address potential issues, establishing clear heading structures, providing alternative text for images, and ensuring compliance with color contrast requirements. Additionally, we have taken steps to minimize motion, enhance the accessibility of multimedia content, and optimize the site's overall usability.

Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content

As a bicycle repair shop, certain pages on our site may be affected by third-party content, leading to partial compliance with the accessibility standard for those specific pages. We are continuously striving to address any remaining accessibility barriers.

Accessibility arrangements in the organization

Pedersen Bicycle Services operates out of a private residence and is not a traditional brick-and-mortar retail shop. Service drop-offs and pick-ups take place at the garage.

When you arrive, please come to the driveway and garage entrance and ring the doorbell located next to the Pedersen Bicycle Services sign. There is no need to go to the front door of the home.  Always feel free to call, text, or message for additional information.

The service area is located in the garage and may include uneven surfaces and limited space. At this time, there are no special on-site accessibility accommodations available for individuals requiring additional assistance.

To better support all riders, I’m happy to offer bike pickup and drop-off by arrangement, or to discuss alternative ways to serve you. If you have accessibility needs or questions, please reach out ahead of time and we’ll find the best solution together.
